Commissioning a painting is best approached by contacting the artist directly to discuss your requirements. Subject to work ongoing six weeks should be allowed for completion. The cost of commissioned work varies on size, complexity of subject and location. A rough guide of prices are shown below. Note: The medium that is used is mainly watercolour or gouache although the artist occasionally dabbles in oils and acrylic.

Important Notes
The above prices are unframed and do not allow for travelling expenses (if req), postage,or courier charges. Prices are aprox and can vary depending on complexity of subject. The artist will give a clear indication of costs before a commissioned work is undertaken. Uplift of original work only at Landscapes Gallery or by arrangement with the artist. A2 and A3 size only would be considered for commission work out-with Dumfries & Galloway and an appropriate travelling expense would be charged. Commissioning a painting direct from the artist offers a unique chance to acquire a valuable original work of art that not only will give years of pleasure but can be handed down to future generations as an investment. When buying directly from the artist there are no additional fees the artist has to take into account such as commercial gallery commissions or agents fees and as a result the cost of buyng direct is very reasonable. Details on request. A suitable local framer can be recommended if required.
